I worked on this wild strawberry scent on and off for about five years. I was determined to create the most realistic wild strawberry scent in the world. And since you know I’m (sometimes too) honest with you, I think you deserve to know the whole story behind this fragrance. After years, I finally succeeded! Those little, wild, forest strawberries! On paper, they smelled exactly as I’d hoped—in my opinion, you’ve never smelled anything more realistic. But on the skin? Something awful, unwearable. Suddenly, there was a smell of burnt plastic and tires in the background… One molecule—unfortunately the one absolutely essential for strawberry—caused me so many problems that, in desperation, I gave up working on the strawberry. But then one day I ordered “Strawberry, Buchu, Mint” at a smoothie and lemonade stand. This combo smelled so amazing to me that I said to myself, “If I ever make a strawberry perfume, I have to try it in this combo!!” And that’s how this limited summer edition came to be. I know, it’s not a story that the marketing team of, say, a major perfume brand would fully appreciate. But I want Bergamoss to be a symbol of something genuine for you. Sincere. Real. During my travels in Thailand, I fell in love with a classic Thai dessert—Mango Sticky Rice — fresh, ripe mango served with rice cooked in coconut milk and sprinkled with roasted mung beans. I finished the first version (some of you may remember it) in 2023. At that time, there were almost no “Mango Sticky Rice” perfumes on the market. Today, three years later, it’s a trendy note, with as many as three perfumes from this year actually named “Mango Sticky Rice.” For a moment, I even wondered if I should release it at all this year… But what kind of perfumer would I be if I were ashamed that someone else used the same name for something completely different? On the contrary, you can compare different perfumes with the same name and choose the one that’s right for you. I tried to create the most realistic interpretation possible, and whether I succeeded is entirely up to you.

I always thought tulips didn’t have a scent. And it’s true that most of them give off almost no scent at all. But there are some that do. Delicately, yet beautifully. And to celebrate these beautiful spring flowers, I created the Twolips perfume with notes of tulips from our garden, complemented by a juicy citrus-fruity accord of cherry and red mandarin. At the heart of the perfume, juicy pear blends with rose absolute and a lily-of-the-valley perfume molecule called Nympheal. The base features my favorite white sandalwood for creaminess and a blend of long-lasting musks. Welcome the sister to Pivoine de Malene—the Twolips perfume.

 “…and when will you make one for men?” Now is the time. I know that today’s trend is unisex, but I’m a bit “old school” in that regard. For me, a perfume is always more feminine or masculine. And since I’ve mainly been creating women’s perfumes until now, I think the time has come for one that is distinctly masculine. Vétiver Noisette is autumn, fallen leaves, earthy notes of two natural vetivers (Haiti and Brazil) combined with hazelnut and ginger oil.
