A soft, powdery amber fragrance with a delicate rosy glow — unlike anything I’ve created before.

I wanted to capture a very particular feeling: the scent of my wife’s scarf on a cold winter day, when she has just sprayed it with perfume and walks a few steps ahead of me. Something warm and intimate. Comforting, slightly sweet, enveloping, yet with a deep and sensual presence.

This is the most intricate and complex composition I have created to date, built from more than 70 ingredients.

Among its natural materials are Violet Leaf Absolute, Haitian Vetiver, Ylang Ylang Extra Essential Oil, Australian Sandalwood, Jasmine Absolute, Egyptian Geranium, and Elemi Essential Oil — a material with a beautiful citrusy brightness wrapped in soft, resinous incense.

A special detail

Each bottle is wrapped in its own miniature wool scarf, handmade especially for Bergamoss by women from the surrounding villages — mothers, grandmothers and aunts.

A small piece of warmth, made by hand, for a fragrance inspired by warmth itself.

“Pivoine de Malène is my first fragrance, which I created years ago after hundreds of attempts for my beloved wife Maruška and named after our daughter – Malène. What inspired me? Nothing other than peonies, my favorite flowers that grow in our little garden at the foothills of the Jeseníky mountains, where I have been living and creating perfumes since 2019 – initially only for family and friends, and after years, finally for all of you, fragrance lovers. I could now overwhelm you with marketing talk about how intoxicating, mysterious, and precious the notes of this perfume are, but that wouldn’t be appropriate. So instead, I recommend simply… taking a whiff and letting yourself be carried away by the scent of spring, the scent of peonies. A fragrance created out of pure love.”

“During my travels in Thailand, I fell in love with a classic Thai dessert—Mango Sticky Rice — fresh, ripe mango served with rice cooked in coconut milk and sprinkled with roasted mung beans. I finished the first version (some of you may remember it) in 2023. At that time, there were almost no “Mango Sticky Rice” perfumes on the market. Today, three years later, it’s a trendy note, with as many as three perfumes from this year actually named “Mango Sticky Rice.” For a moment, I even wondered if I should release it at all this year… But what kind of perfumer would I be if I were ashamed that someone else used the same name for something completely different? On the contrary, you can compare different perfumes with the same name and choose the one that’s right for you. I tried to create the most realistic interpretation possible, and whether I succeeded is entirely up to you.

I worked on this wild strawberry scent on and off for about five years. I was determined to create the most realistic wild strawberry scent in the world. And since you know I’m (sometimes too) honest with you, I think you deserve to know the whole story behind this fragrance. After years, I finally succeeded! Those little, wild, forest strawberries! On paper, they smelled exactly as I’d hoped—in my opinion, you’ve never smelled anything more realistic. But on the skin? Something awful, unwearable. Suddenly, there was a smell of burnt plastic and tires in the background… One molecule—unfortunately the one absolutely essential for strawberry—caused me so many problems that, in desperation, I gave up working on the strawberry. But then one day I ordered “Strawberry, Buchu, Mint” at a smoothie and lemonade stand. This combo smelled so amazing to me that I said to myself, “If I ever make a strawberry perfume, I have to try it in this combo!!” And that’s how this limited summer edition came to be. I know, it’s not a story that the marketing team of, say, a major perfume brand would fully appreciate. But I want Bergamoss to be a symbol of something genuine for you. Sincere. Real.
